Weather Effects Empty
PostSubject: Weather Effects   Weather Effects EmptyThu Oct 05 2017, 23:58

Hawaii has a pretty wide range of climates and weathers on its island and landmarks. As you adventure you will have to endure one or more weather types, that might change randomly as the Game Master sees fit. These weathers will have some small effects on people, some are positive, most are negatives. The effects of the weather only apply when in outdoors or in some special places, like caverns or very big buildings. Since these weathers make surviving and fighting harder they can give a small exp bonus.

  • Clear Sky: People always feel more cheerful and active on days with good weather. +5% Exp received for each successful action. No experience bonus.

  • Gloomy Day: Today is a grey and dark day, full of eerie tumor like clouds. It is pretty depressing actually. -5% Exp received.

  • Fog: A thick fog makes aiming and attacking harder. -20 to all attack dice rolls. Its effects can be negated with Thermal goggles or scopes. +1% Exp bonus.

  • Radioactive Fog: This greenish fog not only makes aiming harder but also contaminates you. -20 to all attack dice rolls and 10 Points of Radiation each turn. Its effects can be negated with Thermal goggles or scopes and anti-radiation measures like Rad-X. +2% Exp bonus.

  • Soft Rain: This warm and cleansing rain is able wash away impurities. Each turn in this rain reduces your radiation points by 10 points. No experience bonus.

  • Hard Rain: The cold rain, freezes your body and makes you shiver, making it harder to aim or attack. -5 to all attack dice rolls and 10 Freezing damage each turn. +1% Exp bonus.

  • Storm: The rain coupled with thunders and lighting makes it very hard to fight. It gives a penalty of -10 to all attack dice rolls and 10 Freezing damage each turn. +2% Exp bonus.

  • Radioactive Storm: This storm not only brings loud thunder and blinding lightnings but also a radioactive hailstorm that contaminates anything it touches. It gives a penalty of -10 to all attack dice rolls, 10 Freezing damage and 10 points of Radiation each turn. +3% Exp bonus.

  • Sandstorm: Each person suffers -1 PER and 10 HP of Damage each turn. It can be negated by wearing headwear that completely covers the head. +1% Exp bonus.

  • Radioactive Sandstorm: Each player suffers -1 PER and 10 HP of Damage and 10 Points of Radiation each turn. It can be negated by wearing headwear that completely covers the head. +2% Exp bonus.

  • Pitch Black: It’s darker than black around you. You are away from any light source, be it natural or not. You gain -30 to all attack dice rolls. It can be negated with Night Vision equipment like goggles or scopes. +2% Exp bonus.

In specially apocalyptic and dangerous situations more than one weather effect can stack at the same time. There can be a Radioactive Fog and Storm happening at the same time, or a Sandstorm in a Pitch Black night.
